Introduction

Conference and exhibition organisers are responsible for the production of an event, from the original idea to completion. Employees of an organisation may organise their own exhibitions, or manage their own stands at other exhibitions. Independent agencies employ conference and exhibition organisers to manage events on behalf of clients - which may be large companies, professional bodies or other organisations.

This distance learning course will give students a basic understanding of how to organise an exhibition.

Exhibition Planning Project

The project is an important part of the course. Each course participant is given the project brief. Participants are asked at the end of the course to produce an Exhibition Proposal with their recommendations to the examiners. This gives participants the opportunity to use the knowledge they have obtained during the course in a focused way and develops proposal-writing and creative skills.
